DMCA Relay - Submit DMCA Counter Notice

Step 1 of 5

You can use this form to submit a DMCA Counter-Notice for a site or platform that DMCA Relay serves as designated agent, in response to a copyright complaint that resulted in your content being removed or disabled.

Before filling out this form, please review the site or platform's listed DMCA policy, which is available on each site/platform.

In order to prevent unnecessary processing delays, please note the following before submitting your counter-notice:

  • Don't send duplicate counter-notices.

  • If your counter-notice covers multiple files removed as part of the same takedown, include all relevant links in a single counter-notice, instead of sending multiple counter-notices.

  • Only one point of contact from your organization should submit the counter-notice.

  • A counter-notice is a legal statement made under penalty of perjury. Please make sure you have a good faith belief that your content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification before proceeding.

If you have attachments or would prefer to submit your counter-notice via email or snail mail, please follow the instructions in the site/platform's posted DMCA Policy for manually submitting your complaint.

1. Locate the complaint notice

When your host or service provider informed you of a DMCA takedown, they may have provided you with a DMCA Relay complaint ID. Complaint IDs look like cmp_a1b2c3d4e5f6, always beginning with cmp_ and ending with 12 digits (letters and numbers).

Providing the complaint ID will greatly expedite processing your Counter Notice.

If you do not have this complaint ID available, we can still process your Counter Notice, it will just take a bit longer.

Please see the description above for instructions on identifying the complaint ID.
